River City Food Bank, located at R & 28th streets, has been serving Sacramento's neediest residents for more than 40 years. This coming Monday and Tuesday, they'll be holding their 9th annual "Empty Bowls" event to help raise funds for this very worth cause. With the support of the Sacramento community, they hope to raise $125,000 to help those who have been hit hardest by the recession.
Here are the event details:
Supper: Monday, March 5, 5:30-7:30 p.m., $60 per person
Luncheon: Tuesday, March 6, 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. seatings, $30 per person
Where: Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 J Street Sacramento, CA 95814
Tickets: Tickets are now on sale online as well as two retail locations: The Cathedral Bookshop at 2620 Capitol Avenue, and the Avid Reader at the Tower, 1600 Broadway.
