There are a lot of half off deal sites. My favorite among the bunch is Sac News & Review Sweet Deals. (Disclosure - I once ran a promo for them where I got a small cut of the sale, but that's not happening today.)
The difference between them and something like Groupon or Living Social is the lack of restrictions. Want to use it for happy hour? Great. With a coupon? Have at it. For another special event? No worries.
Normally, deals are about 50 percent off, but with the code "BESTOF2012NL" you can get an extra 20 percent off.
