Cowtown Eats Guide to Sac Beer Week

Next week's inaugural Sacramento Beer Week celebrates our region's rich Beer culture. They've put together a list of 200 events from Sunday, Feb. 21 thru Sunday, Feb. 28. Events include a scavanger hunt, brewmaster dinners, brewing demonstrations, etc.

That's all well and good, but I know that you guys don't come here for microbrew news. You guys come here for where to find cheap eats and drinks near downtown. I've combed through their extensive and impressive Web site to find deals with an emphasis on events near the grid and specials that are better than what you can probably find on a regular day.

Monday

• Pyramid Alehouse presents Haywire Day with pints of Haywire Hefeweizen for $3 and you keep the Pyramid pint glass all day.
• The River City Saloon hosts Black Diamond Night.  Get a Black Diamond Brewing  T-shirt and a bottle of Freestyle Belgian Blonde, Jagged Edge I.P.A. or Steep Trail Amber Ale for $7.99.
• Pete’s Restaurant and Brewhouse offers their four house beers (brewed by Firestone Walker Brewing) for $2/pint all day.
• The Pine Cove Tavern hosts Anchor Pint Night with $4 logo pints and $2 refills from Anchor Brewing.
• Pyramid Alehouse offers Retro Racks, a sampler rack of their 5 most popular beers (Haywire Hefeweizen, Fling Pale Ale, Audacious Apricot Ale, Thunderhead IPA, and Alehouse Amber Ale) for $3.30.  3:30pm – close.
• The Shady Lady offers $1 off Sierra Nevada Glissade Golden Bock from 5-8pm.
• Streets of London (Midtown) hosts Stone Pint Night.  Stone  Ruination IPA with a logo glass for $5.25/$4.25 refills.  5-7pm
• R15  features a Guinness Pint Night, with a logo pint of Guinness Stout for $5 and $2 refills.  8pm-close

Tuesday

• 3 Fires Lounge presents Sudwerk Night.  Come meet the hard working brew crew from Sudwerk and enjoy $3 specials on their Hefe Weizen, Marzen, Helles Lager, and the Dunkel Weiss Bock.  6-9pm
• L Wine Bar and Urban Kitchen hosts a Sierra Nevada Tasting.  Sample Sierra Nevada Kellerweis, Torpedo Extra IPA, Harvest Wet Hop Ale, Estate Brewers Harvest Ale, and Life & Limb with complimentary charcuterie.  $7
• The Streets of London (Midtown) presents New Belgium Pint Night with a logo glass of Fat Tire or Ranger IPA from New Belgium Brewing for $5.25 and refills for $4.25.
• The Pine Cove Tavern presents Mad River Pint Night with $4 logo pints and $2 refills on Mad River brews.  7-10pm

• Hot Italian presents Birra and Calcio.  UEFA Champions League Game Inter Milan vs. Chelsea.  Order a pint, take home the Peroni glass. GANZO 11:45am-1:45pm
