Cowtown Eats Hosts Happy Hour for Needy Families
December 10, 2009
Cowtown Eats has partnered with Sweetwater Restaurant and Bar to host a happy hour to benefit Catholic Charities’ Adopt-a-Family for Christmas program. The money raised at the event will go towards grocery gift cards for needy families.
This is a program that I personally participate in. The family I adopted this year asked for shoes, jackets, towels and a blanket. Nothing extravagant. They are families that truly could benefit from our help. For more information about the program, click here.
Sweetwater Restaurant has generously offered to donate 25 percent of the proceeds from the event for these families in need. Just tell them that you're with the Cowtown Eats event.
When: 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 14
Where: Sweetwater Restaurant and Bar, 19th and S (across the street from Safeway)
They have a wonderful Happy Hour all night on Mondays, including:
$5 Appetizers
- Big Easy Shrimp (my personal favorite)
- Artichoke
- Calamari
- Spinach/Artichoke Dip
$3 Beers on tap
- New Belgium 2 Below
- Wyders Pear Cider
- Shock Top
- Dechutes Black Butte Porter
- Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
- Gordon Biersch Pilsner
$3 well drinks and house wine
Come on by to support a great cause, have a beer or an appetizer and watch the Arizona Cardinals take on the San Francisco 49ers.
