Restaurant Reviews:
Table 260: Do a 180 from Table 260 Downtown - Let's be blunt. At Table 260 Downtown, there was no soul and, it turns out, hardly any food. The only fusion we encountered was the melding of lethargy and apathy and a pinch of ennui. Instead, all we can report is that Table 260 Downtown is a restaurant in a free fall, with practically no apparent effort to be a viable business, let alone a proud practitioner of soul food. Blair Anthony Robertson in the Sac Bee.Orphan Breakfast House: Something familiar - Service by the black-garbed waiters and waitresses is prompt. It takes even less time to consume than it does to wait. A principal reason the service is so fast is because most of the dishes are similar. Greg Lucas in the Sac News and Review.
Restaurant News:Earlier: New Orphan badly needs to adopt the idea of flavor - This is a place that specializes in breakfast and the food just doesn't cut it, given the competition all over town. Blair Anthony Robertson in the Sac Bee.
Squeeze Inn to close current site Saturday; re-opening set for Feb. 15, reports Bill Lindelof in the Sac Bee.
