Tax day is one of the worst days of the year. As if taking money out of every paycheck isn't enough, Uncle Sam further gets you by requiring every person to spend hours gathering their W-2s and 1099s, fill out a ton of paperwork and then cut another check to The Man.
But amongst all that unpleasantness, at least it gives restaurants another excuse to run a promotion.
McCormick and Schmick's is celebrating Tax Day by offering giving away a $10.40 dining certificate for a future visit to anybody who spends at least $3.50 at the bar on April 15. You can even spend that $3.50 during their great happy hour.
Look at it this way. You spend $3.50 at the bar, leave a $1 tip for the bartender and still come out ahead by almost $6 toward a future dinner at McCormick and Schmick's.
Here are the rules: Offer good while supplies last. Dining certificate valid for a future visit in the dining room after 5 p.m. through May 30, 2010 (excluding May 8 & 9). Alcohol & gratuity not included. Not valid with other offers. One per table.
But here's even better news. McCormick and Schmick's has given Cowtown Eats one $10.40 dining certificate to give away to a loyal reader.
All you have to do is go to the Cowtown Eats Facebook Fan Page and leave a comment with your favorite dish at McCormick and Schmick's on the thread about this promotion by Thursday, April 15 at noon. If you've never been, check out their menu online (warning: PDF link) and leave a comment with what you'd like to try. The winner will be chosen randomly and the dining certificate will be mailed to you.
