Wine and Dine is Back
May 24, 2011
From today thru Sunday, June 5, Sacramento foodies rejoice as they get another opportunity to eat at some of the finest restaurants in the region for a little less.
Wine and Dine Week has been expanded to two weeks this year to allow as many people as possible to take advantage of this offer. Great restaurants are offering 4 course meals with wine pairings for $50 or less.
Restaurants commonly understood to be Sacramento's best are on the list -- including Ella, Firehouse, Mulvaney's B&L, Biba, The Press Bistro and Tuli -- will be participating in this promotion.
Each restaurant has their menus listed at the Sacramento Wine and Dine week Web site.
A couple thoughts to maximize your money:
- Go with a good friend -- somebody whose plate you'd eat off of. It's the easiest way to be able to try more of their food.
- Not everybody has to get the prix fixe menu. You can share one and have the other person get an entree.
- Make reservations and tell them you're doing Wine and Dine. In addition to getting a table, it'll help them know how much to make so they don't run out of their prix fixe menu by the time you get there.
I've been to most of these restaurants before, but I'm planning on hitting The Press this weekend to give it a try. I've been there for drinks, but never dinner. Now, I have a good reason to go. Where do you plan on going?
