15. Chicago FireHeader[1]

With its four locations in midtown, Roseville and two Folsom locations, it's no wonder why the region's popular deep dish pizza joint has such a popular happy hour. 2416 J St, Sacramento.

14. Republic Bar & Grill 6a010535c08657970b01676212ef3b970b-pi[1]

The restaurant may have changed its food operation at the middle of the year (and along with that, it's happy hour) from Drewski's to one run by the chefs behind Coast to Coast Sandwiches, but that didn't stop it from being a very popular location to grab a drink after work. 904 15th St., Sacramento.

13. PaesanosPaesanos

Paesanos is a popular midtown casual Italian restaurant with a very popular happy hour. Its empire has expanded with locations in Davis and Elk Grove. But on Cowtown Eats, the midtown location continues to please. 1806 Capitol Ave, Sacramento.

12. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse's happy hour is a great way to get normally-pricey food at an affordable price. with locations on Fair Oaks and in Roseville, this steakhouse with an awesome happy hour really packs the people in. 501 Pavillions Ln, Sacramento.

11. Zocalo Zocalo

Zocalo, the Sacramento restaurant that's been serving regional Mexican cuisine for the past decade, has a following that extends from its fabulous happy hour to its great weekend brunch. In 2012, they added a second location in Roseville. My favorite time of the year at Zocalo is hitting up happy hour on their great patio during the summer. 1801 Capitol Ave, Sacramento.

10. Coyote Tap House

Coyote

Coyote Tap House has a great location and a great space. Maybe that's why people are so attracted to their happy hour. Since it opened at the end of 2012, it has consistently racked up page views on Cowtown Eats. I might have to give this happy hour another try to figure out what all the fuss is about. 801 14th St., Sacramento.

9. Blackbird Kitchen & Bar

It may have closed mid year, but it wasn't because its happy hour wasn't popular. The restaurant, with its apparently mercurial chef/owner, was still a hit with the after work crowd - myself included. Fortunately, it will return with a new concept and new partners in 2014. 1009 9th St., Sacramento.

8. Chevy's Fresh Mex - On The River

Chevys

One of the best things about Sacramento is the river, and nothing is better than sipping on a margarita, snacking on a basket of chips and people watching at Chevy's. That's why people continue to flock to this restaurant - and its happy hour - year after year. 1369 Garden Hwy., Sacramento.

7. Burgers & Brew

Situated on a revitalized portion of R street, Burgers & Brew continues to draw in the crowds with its patio seating and diverse tap list. 1409 R St, Sacramento.

Bento Box added a midtown location this year, and it's happy hour has been a hit with nearby office-goers. It's competition is stiff along that stretch of 16th Street, but it's been holding its own. 1101 16th St., Sacramento.

5. Lucca Restaurant 199186_10150462516830646_257543680645_17946640_3058345_a[1]

Nestled on a stretch of J street without many other restaurants and bars, it's easy for me to forget about Lucca. But apparently, Cowtown Eats readers haven't forgotten about the place (especially its popular all night happy hour on Thursdays), giving it the fifth place ranking. 1615 J St., Sacramento.

4. Hook & Ladder Handl

Hook & Ladder, the heralded restaurant who shares owners with the popular midtown spot Golden Bear, opened late in 2012 and has hit its stride as both a restaurant and bar. The restaurant's popular happy hour is just another sign of that. 1630 S St, Sacramento.

3. Pour HousePour_house

Because it opened late in 2012, Pour House didn't make the top 15 list in 2012, but it shot up the charts to No. 3 this year due, in part, to their popular live music sessions and great beer selection. 1910 Q St., Sacramento.

Moving up a spot from No. 3 in 2012 to No. 2 in 2013, Firestone Public House continues to be the most popular single location happy hour and considered by many to be the best place to watch a sporting event on The Grid. 1132 16th Street, Sacramento.
