Ten 22 had a rocky start. In April 2010, the Sac Bee's Blair Anthony Robertson eviscerated it in a review.

But undaunted, they continued to hone their food and service and in July 2011, Robertson returned and found a raft of improvements.

As a restaurant, I think it continues to refine its vision and execution. I sampled the food there recently for the Sactoberfest media preview, and was really impressed. I made a mental note to go back and try their chef's table (where you tell the chef what you want and what your budget is, and he'll come up with a menu).
