The Cultured & Cured, a J Street cheese and cured meat shop will close later this week, it announced on Facebook late Monday.

The establishment opened in late 2013, and the business showed no outward signs of financial distress. Just 3 months ago, they received their beer & wine license, which is usually a high margin item for restaurants.

In the comments below their Facebook post, they seem to indicate that a lack of business was not the primary driver. "East Sac had our back...so much more has to do with it," they wrote.
