$3 Cosmos to Celebrate Cosmo's 1st Birthday on Thursday

Cosmo Cafe, part of the ever-expanding Paragary empire, is celebrating it's first birthday on Thursday.

As part of it's celebration, it's offering $3 cosmos (down from the normal $5 happy hour price) all day, 2 for 1 lunches and complimentary appetizers from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

They also have a popular Tuesday to Sunday happy hour, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., with $3 to $5 drink and appetizer specials.


$1 off Guinness at de Vere's Irish Pub Tonight

de Vere's Irish Pub is celebrating the Arthur Guinness's 250th birthday with $1 off Guinness and Guinness 250 tonight from 8 p.m. to midnight.

In addition to the discount Guinness, they'll have live traditional Irish music hosted by band Nine Eights Irish and a performance of bag pipers and drums. They will also be serving traditional corned beef and cabbage.

Half Off Cocktails at Ella on Tuesday

Ella is celebrating it's second birthday by slashing the prices of it's cocktails by 50 percent on Tuesday.

At half off, it's cocktails will be in the $4 to $6 range.

California Brewers Festival on Saturday

Looking for a good way to spend the last official weekend of the Summer?

The CA Brewers Festival is this Saturday from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at Discovery Park. Sixty breweries will be represented and they'll be offering samples of 135 beers.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the gate and designated drivers pay only $5.

Free Movie at the Drive In on Thursday

If you're a furloughed state worker, you know Thursday night is the new Friday night, so why not see a free movie?

It's customer appreciation day at West Wind Drive in off the Bradshaw exit of the 50.

They'll be offering free admission to a number of movies including Night at the Museum - Battle of the Smithsonian, UP and Star Trek - The Future Begins.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and movies start at dusk. Don't forget the best part of the drive in experience -- you can bring in your own food and beer to consume while you enjoy the show.


Celebrate Centro's 15th Birthday on Saturday

If you're still trying to hang onto the end of summer and looking for an outdoor party, Centro's 15th birthday extravaganza is a great place to do it on Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m.

In addition to their normal Second Saturday festivities, they'll have the back parking lot fenced off for outdoor drinking and specials on their house margaritas, top shelf margaritas and sangria.
